Recovery log, E. Satell, entry 45 — dated 6701.02.31. Word came through that an Imoda-class vessel buried its nose into a riverbed after staggering inland from the sea. People on the plateau spotted it crawling across the valley days ago. Satell needs a new rig, and an unclaimed wreck this far west is worth investigating. Western-design ships are rare this far from shore, and if it made it this far it cannot be a complete wreck. The plan: get the lifters down tonight, dry out the circuits, and see what survived. If there is cargo, it sells. If it was a surveyor, the navigation data alone could fetch serious money — crossing the sea safely has never been harder.
