In the era of RPG Maker 2000, the default hero Alex shipped with every copy of the software became an unwilling star of thousands of games, dragging the bundled character pack along for the ride. Eventually those secondary characters wanted more. Migrating to the world of Rober, they split into factions: peaceful villagers devoted to mole-fu, ambitious would-be heroes hungry for glory, and everything in between. From this group, the author selects one ordinary Rober person — weak, devout, and deeply confused — and makes him the protagonist. What follows involves heroism of the loosest possible definition, stolen monster wallets, house invasions no one acknowledges, and at least one cat to kiss.
