The world of Filiaswald was long divided between the goddess of light Aria and the goddess of darkness Anri, and a great war was fought between them. It ended in a single confrontation between the hero Fiona and the demon king Astaroth — from which neither returned. Ten years later, a young man with no memory and no name staggers out of the forest and into the small café-inn called Café Sorcière. Three witches-in-training give him the name Tarou and put him to work while he recovers. Life at the café is warm and strange and full of small adventures. Tarou is happy there — or near enough. But recurring dreams of a battle at the demon king's castle keep surfacing, and something about them feels like memory.
