Crying is not Enough

Jacob Helten, 35, watches his wife Claire recover steadily from a serious car accident—until the night before her hospital discharge, when she vanishes without explanation. That same evening, a woman Jacob has never met approaches him, claiming to know where Claire is. The trail leads far from home to a remote and hostile place, where Jacob gradually realizes that Claire's disappearance is not the main event but a single thread in a much larger, more dangerous arrangement—and that he is far from the center of whatever is actually happening.
