Hashihime of the Old Book Town

Taisho-era Tokyo, 1922. Tamamori came to the city to pass the Imperial University entrance exam, failed, burned through two years at a boarding house in an unfocused haze, and ended up working at Umebachidou, a used bookstore in the Jinbochou district. He fills his days pretending to study and spending time with old friends from home. Then his friends start dying, one after another, in strange and unexplained ways. Stranger still: Tamamori realizes he has been living the same three rainy days on repeat. In a district famous for its books and its bookish mysteries, the boundary between hallucination and reality is the central question of this pop-occult thriller.
