Near Kuwaq Yaku, Lara Croft learns of an old map left behind by Mariana Ortiz for her granddaughter Abigail, bearing invisible lemon-juice markings added by the cartographer Diego. The markings lead to three pieces of the Chakana that, when assembled, point to a hidden location deep in the jungle: an ancient forge built by Abarrane, a Maya queen who served as the first guardian of Kuwaq Yaku—and whose bloodline leads directly to Abigail herself. The role of guardian, dormant for centuries, is ready to be claimed again.
