Mark's mother developed severe memory loss following his father's death — then disappeared without warning. Desperate to find her, he begins moving through a series of increasingly strange events, not realizing he has been in a coma the entire time. The reality buried beneath the nightmare is far more terrible than what he is experiencing: his mother died in a car accident, and that same accident is what put Mark in the coma.
