When the UAC was founded in 2055, it was a genuine force for good — advancing teleportation, medicine, and interstellar travel. By 2080, everything had changed. After a private meeting between the UAC's president and the leader of a cult called The Protectors, the organization pivoted entirely toward opening a so-called spiritual portal in the middle of the city. The attempt failed explosively, killing hundreds and leaving zombie-like survivors roaming the streets. Rudy, an ex-marine, lost his brother Jamal in the blast. Armed with what he knows about UAC operations, he heads for a secret base in the hills to tear the whole operation down — avenge his brother and stop whatever comes out of the next attempt.
