When the wizard academy is attacked, novice student Blue is flung out a window and lands face-first in the unfamiliar world beyond its walls. Pushed out of a sheltered life with no preparation, Blue reluctantly sets off on a long journey back home — learning to navigate the world of Scrabdackle for the first time while contending with daunting foes and uncomfortable truths about how much the world outside differs from the books back in the academy.
