Not all endings are happily ever after. Rin chose to stay in Ruka's world — and now doubts that decision, haunted by the friends and life she left behind. Ruka has her own problem: a classmate named Kanako who seems set on making things difficult. Unspoken feelings and misread intentions push them apart just as they were becoming something more. A second chapter reaches into the past to show how Rei and Ruka first met, why Rei took on a guardian role, and how two people separated by years tried to understand each other anyway.
