Rathael was peaceful until twelve years ago, when the Legion descended from space and began colonizing the planet with brutal efficiency. The Princept Accord — a unified front of magical warriors called Princepts — pushed the Legion back to their stronghold and then shattered from internal conflict. The kingdoms retreated into isolation.
