About This Game

Witch Machine was planned for a 1996 Game Boy release by GodHead Interactive. Investor concerns, rumors of troubled development, and then reports of disturbing content killed the project weeks before launch. GodHead closed on June 6, 1996. The final build was never released. A handful of corrupted test cartridges changed hands during the company's liquidation and ended up in private collections, unplayable. Recently, the Video Memories Project received a GodHead dev kit found in a storage unit. A patch inside restored the game to a playable state. Nearly twenty-five years after cancellation, Witch Machine can finally be played — a recovered piece of horror gaming history.
