When Arceus was attacked by a dimensional Pokémon of overwhelming power, he called in Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina. Together they barely managed to force the threat back into its own dimension. Arceus then retreated into his own dimension, understanding that his power was what attracted the attack. Centuries later, a powerful person remembered the dimensional Pokémon's existence and became obsessed with obtaining its power. As the child of the League Champion, you travel the Exodius region, battle its Gym Leaders, and pursue the championship — while something much larger develops in the background.
