Gods occupy heaven, demons occupy the earth below, and humans survive on the Floating Continent of Yggdrasil — the closest habitable land to the divine. The Dark Lord Surt has declared: whichever heir brings him the Heart of Yggdrasil, said to be guarded by the goddesses of the Floating Continent, will inherit his throne, with no questions asked about methods or past transgressions. The heirs begin their invasion. Among them is Loki — an ostracized demon nobleman who sees no reason not to participate if corrupting those goddesses is the path to the throne. Five demons invade. Five goddesses fight back. The rest depends on how far Loki is willing to go.
