Wallachia: Reign of Dracula is set in 1462, six years into Prince Vlad Dracula's second hold on power. His first reign ended in 1448 when he lost the throne — an experience that hardened his resolve never to let it happen again. Returned from exile and reinstalled in 1456, Vlad has spent the subsequent years systematically eliminating anyone who might move against him, purging threats real and perceived with a thoroughness that has made his name synonymous with terror throughout the land.
