In Slash Roll, you play with a pouch of dice rather than a deck of cards. Each die—six-faced or otherwise—carries its own unique effect and purpose. The roguelike deck-building genre's structure is here in familiar form, but the mechanics around random dice properties create something distinct: you can play conservatively, lean into high-variance combos, or calculate precise statistical value in each decision. The framing is a procedurally generated tavern, where you arrive as a new face—hero, wealthy traveler, or penniless drunkard—and make your way toward the bar through whatever the place throws at you.
