Hakuoki Shinkai: Ginsei no Shou

1863, late Bakumatsu period. Chizuru Yukimura travels alone from Edo to Kyoto searching for her father, who vanished without explanation. Navigating an unfamiliar city at night, she is attacked by samurai. In the chaos, a blood-hungry figure approaches — and the Shinsengumi arrive to save her. After that encounter, Chizuru remains with the Shinsengumi while they pursue their shared goal of finding her father. She slowly uncovers their hidden secret: the Furies, a group of men with something inhuman about them.
