Kingdoms and Slaves

After a kingdom discovered a powerful living crystal, it began to rise. But this power carried with it a curse — over time, an addiction that slowly disintegrated the bodies of those who lingered too close. The King enslaved the entire race of Greenins, who had a natural aptitude with the crystals. Yet even with the slavery of the weaker, the kingdom couldn't resist the curse. The crystals drove them to madness, death, and ultimately catastrophe.
