The Darkness returns to the solar system as massive Pyramid vessels descend toward Jupiter, drawing the Guardian to Europa, a frozen wasteland harboring the remnants of an ancient civilization. There, the Fallen warlord Eramis has consolidated her fractured people under a new regime, proclaiming herself the Kell of Darkness and mastering Stasis—a devastating power sourced directly from the Darkness itself, which she bestows upon her strongest followers. Seeking to ensure her race's survival and exact vengeance against the Traveler for its abandonment, Eramis weaponizes this freezing force against all who stand in her way, leaving the Guardian to face an opponent wielding powers never before encountered. To counter this mounting threat and protect humanity, the Guardian must embrace Stasis despite its dangerous allure, guided by the mysterious Exo Stranger and a coalition of unlikely allies willing to exploit the very darkness they fear.
