Rain grew up an orphan with no prospects and turned that into a career by joining Edenia's army, where his tactical brilliance earned him rapid promotion and considerable fame. He used that access to dig into something that had been hidden from him: the identity of his birth parents. What he found was that his father is Argus, Edenia's divine Protector — who gave Rain away to avoid scandal and has never acknowledged him. Armed with the knowledge of his half-divine heritage, Rain has stopped asking for a place in Edenia's pantheon and started taking it. A Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character who discovered he was owed something and decided to collect.
