On February 29th, astrophysicist Percy Mullake accidentally created a portal in his lab — not the miniature wormhole he had been working on for three years, but something far larger. It closed before he could enter. He painstakingly reproduced it, but it closed again within minutes. With the help of financier Sidney Trawle, Percy built a spacecraft powerful enough to hold the portal open and carry a crew through it. The ship — christened the Magellan — entered the shimmering anomaly and arrived in an alternate solar system called Solone, where habitable planets show the ruins of familiar-looking civilizations and no human life remains. Trawle immediately begins planning settlement. A space exploration and city-building game set across discovered planets in the AlterVerse.
