Outer Rat

In this multiplayer deception game, players are divided into two opposing factions as they gather in small groups to uncover hidden traitors in their midst. One player secretly takes on the role of deserter while the rest work as detectives attempting to identify the impostor through discussion, observation, and evidence gathering. The tension escalates as players must decide whether to trust their companions or suspect them of sabotage, all while the deserter employs cunning tactics to blend in and sow discord. Success depends on either the detectives building a convincing case against the right suspect or the deserter surviving undetected until the end of the round. Designed for three to ten players, the game rewards persuasive argumentation, strategic deception, and the ability to read other players' motives and behaviors.
