Set in the futuristic metropolis of Neonia during the year 20XX, an ambitious young racer enters the most celebrated competition in motorsport history, hoping to claim the Retro Racer championship title. The protagonist must navigate a gauntlet of demanding courses—from urban circuits to perilous mountain terrain—while competing against formidable drivers, each bringing their own personality and technique to the track. As victories accumulate and rivalries deepen, the player uncovers evidence of corruption threatening the tournament's legitimacy, forcing them to expose a conspiracy that undermines fair competition. Between races, upgrades and vehicle customizations become available, allowing drivers to enhance their competitive edge.
