A catastrophic rupture tears through everyday existence, forcing an unnamed protagonist to flee with only a cherished mug and a worn book as anchors to their former self. They venture into a sprawling metropolis of towering glass and steel, where relentless artificial illumination battles against unnaturally consuming shadows that seem to follow them through neon-lit streets. Haunted by fragmented memories that others have abandoned, the character searches desperately for some refuge or revelation that might restore a sense of belonging in this disorienting urban landscape. The question lingers whether the darkness pursuing them originates from the city itself or from psychological wounds they carry within.
