The New Order: Last Days of Europe is a Hearts of Iron IV mod, that is set in an alternate timeline where Nazi Germany utterly wins World War II, but quickly loses the peace. The New Order is a narrative-driven mod that focuses on the fallout of an Axis victory and its effects on the world, leading to a three-way Cold War in the 1960s. The mod is known for being incredibly ambitious and features many new mechanics and large amounts of events, paths and characters.

The Second World War ended in Axis victory and the old world burned with it. The Greater Germanic Reich now controls Europe, its grand ambitions stalling as Hitler fades and factions fight over the carcass. Japan dominates East Asia and the Pacific under the Co-Prosperity Sphere, rich and ruthless and hiding a resistance that is quietly growing. The United States, humiliated at Pearl Harbor, fights for freedom while tearing itself apart from within. Russia is fragmented and occupied, burning to reunite — at any cost, under any banner.
