A crew of up to eight tethered astronauts arrives at a remote mining outpost nestled within an asteroid belt, tasked with extracting valuable ore from the surrounding rocks. Their operations soon take an unsettling turn as peculiar extraterrestrial visitors begin appearing around the station, though initial contact remains ambiguous. As profits accumulate from their mining efforts, the team reinvests in expanding their outpost with recreational and commercial facilities—a bar, mall, deli, casino, and broadcast tower—transforming their isolated workplace into a thriving settlement. However, this period of prosperity proves tragically short-lived when a full-scale alien assault suddenly descends upon the station, forcing the miners to confront a catastrophic threat they never anticipated.
