Digital Soul Data technology replicates human behavioral patterns via machine learning. Last year, a law made it legal to run DSDs from people who no longer work at a company — including those who were fired or died. Modeus Corp immediately began overworking employees until they quit or worse. Infuriated, the hacker collective Knights of the Western Calculus plans to infiltrate the Modeus Corp Data Fortress and destroy every DSD inside it.
