England, the 1880s. Jonathan Joestar is the only son of the noble Joestar family. His mother died in a carriage accident when he was very young — an accident that he and his father survived thanks to the intervention of a man named Dario Brando. Years later, Dario dies of illness and his son Dio Brando is invited into the Joestar mansion. Jonathan does not know yet that Dio's arrival will change everything about the life he has known.
