Stories of Mara

Stories of Mara: Chapter One takes place in Qälis, the city island in the ocean called Mara, some time after alien forces attacked the planet and life began healing. Akaji is a procrastinating blacksmith who needs to mobilize her entire neighborhood to help find Koa, a friend who has disappeared — while also managing the weight of her own struggles. The chapter is a slice-of-life visual novel in the universe of Summer in Mara, with Studio Ghibli-inspired visuals. Relationships with the community shift based on player choices and how Akaji interacts with those around her. Boat model-making serves as a creative expression mechanic that affects how the community sees her.
