Heathmoor's factions had spent generations at war over scarce water. Then the scarcity ended violently: the heat that had baked the land melted the glaciers of Valkenheim, and the resulting floods were catastrophic. Torrential rain and violent winds followed. Landslides reshaped the terrain. Both Horkos and Chimera struggled to adapt to conditions they had never prepared for. For the Vikings, however, the storm was something different — a rebirth, and an opening to seize a dominance that the previous order had never granted them.
