The hotel sits in territory with a long list of rumors: a supposed city of gold, unexplained events, and a curse connected to both. A comet has appeared in the sky over the region, unsettling everyone who has looked at it. The player arrives to investigate and discovers almost immediately that the hotel has no intention of letting anyone leave. The case involves searching for clues, discovering relics, and solving puzzles tied to the history of the Ophir — a history that goes back much further than the building itself.
