Hazuki Makimura's Love Story

Kayabuki Akira is twenty years old and lacks a dream, which bothers him more than he lets on. He is staying in the apartment building Shoufuku-sou at a discounted rent of twenty thousand yen after a fallen tree trapped and destroyed his previous place. On his first night, he causes a noise disturbance that collapses the wall between his unit and the next one over, where his neighbor Makimura Hazuki lives. Until the repairs are finished, they are sharing a space they neither expected nor wanted. They adjust. They talk. They lose their wariness of each other. When Hazuki asks Akira to help with the short films she makes as a hobby, something shifts — slowly, quietly, in the way that things shift when someone stops being a stranger.
