The Evolving World: Catalyst Wake

Only three thousand humans remain after a sequence of three catastrophic events collectively called the Catalysts: the first made the open air toxic to breathe, requiring masks to survive outside enclosed spaces. Without government, multiple organizations have carved the remaining habitable zones into contested territory. Oliver Naut grew up alone in the Deadzones — the most contaminated regions on earth — protected by nothing but the robotic sword arms fused to his body. Now he has teamed up with Namo, a skilled former assassin, to prevent a stockpile of robotic soldiers from being claimed by the organizations, who would weaponize them for more territorial conflict. Whether Oliver can bring what remains of humanity together around something other than violence is an open question.
