Somni is a co-operative psychological horror game supporting up to six players. The task for each session is to survive the night by identifying the entity inhabiting the location and then eliminating it. Paranormal detection equipment — thermometers, cameras, EMF readers — helps determine which of six possible ghost types or mythical creature variants is present. Séances allow direct communication with the entity, and specific rituals are required to banish it once identified. When the entity is a cryptid rather than a ghost, the game's logic shifts: investigation becomes secondary to survival, as the cryptid is actively hunting and is not a target that can be dispatched through ritual alone.
