L'Abbaye des Morts

Thirteenth century. The Cathars have been driven out of the Languedoc region of France by the Catholic Church for preaching what the Church has decided are dangerous ideas about good Christian belief. Jean Raymond, one of them, finds an old church during his flight and shelters inside it. Beneath the ruins, something has been buried. His faith is about to be tested in ways that go well beyond theological argument.
