Deep Rune

Deep Rune is a side-scrolling RPG adventure set in a world rooted in Norse mythology. The objective is the Deep Rune — a relic lost long ago, said to grant its possessor the means to ascend to the legendary High Realm. The path there descends through an ancient underground ruin populated by creatures that do not welcome visitors. Managing items, magic, and stats carefully determines whether those creatures can be bypassed or defeated. What the Deep Rune actually is, and what ascension to the High Realm would cost, are questions the game saves for the end.
