Necore Tower: Redux Edition

Newly crowned King Garlen Hastein receives word that something has gone wrong at Necore Tower. Fearing the return of the Dark Arcane Wielders, he mobilizes immediately — his troops and the Crimson Guard — and approaches through the rear pilgrims' entrance to avoid detection. The moment he enters the clearing, a tree that has stood for millennia falls directly at him, barely missing the king and his escort. The tree was warded with magic old enough to make Garlen shiver. Trapped now with limited supplies, a few members of the Crimson Guard, and his family's most trusted protector Samuel Blackthorn, Garlen has no path but upward — through whatever has taken hold of the tower.
