Nozomu's parents have decided he needs to learn to be independent. The practical difficulty is that he has never cooked for himself and has not found anywhere that feels like home. His childhood friend Shiori responds to his situation with an unexpected proposal: come live with her. His parents agree before he can object. They settle on one month — enough time for Nozomu to learn how an independent life actually runs, without having to figure it out entirely alone. The experience of learning to live alongside Shiori is what the story is made of.
