Toshiki and Aisa were inseparable as children — constantly competing over who could tell the better story. As they grew older, their perspectives on storytelling diverged enough that the easy closeness between them faded, and Aisa eventually moved to Tokyo with her family. They stayed connected through letters, sharing their lives and trading stories back and forth. Then, as high school approached, Aisa's letters stopped coming. Toshiki kept writing anyway — kept making things, eventually debuted a commercial light novel. Six months ago, he hit a wall. His instinct was that spending time around other young creators might help break it loose. He enrolled in Saika Private Academy, a school designed specifically for people who make things.
