Call of Duty: Vanguard - Season One

Following the final stages of World War II, Axis scientists and leaders have fled to the Pacific. Captain Butcher receives authorization for a top-secret campaign called Operation Vulcan, tasked with finishing what the Allied Forces' earlier operation could not. The newly assembled S.O.T.F. 006 — Trident — heads for the island of Caldera, where the Axis have been operating in secret. Anti-air guns on the beaches shoot down their aircraft on approach, separating Butcher from his team. Trident survives the landing and regroups to discover what the Axis have been hiding on the island. In a parallel story set in 1984, a CIA task force discovers a World War II-era bunker beneath downtown Verdansk — with Captain Butcher's voice coming from inside it, and intelligence from his wartime operations that connects to what the task force is now trying to stop.
