A young Pokémon trainer wins the junior tournament in Pallet Town and returns home to find both parents absent and a letter waiting on the floor. The letter explains that your parents have been abducted. A man in black will meet you at dusk. His instructions are clear: cooperate, or your parents do not survive. The first task is to steal a Pokémon from Professor Oak's laboratory — an act that marks the beginning of an undercover mission inside Team Rocket, the largest criminal organization operating in Kanto. The investigation runs through Kanto, the Orange Archipelago, and beyond, with Team Rocket's actual purpose and the reason they wanted your family revealing itself as the journey continues.
